Deputy of Education

The main aim of deputy of education is including: leading, planning and directing formal secondary and higher education skills training in the agricultural sector to develop and empower knowledge and skills of human resources in the agricultural sector and development and promotion of job skills of audiences and learners in the fields of agriculture.

The Deputy of Education, through coordination and cooperation with relevant ministries and organizations in the field of agricultural education, including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Technical and Vocational Education Organization, emphasizes on "Future Farmers" project.

Formal agricultural training:

Formal agricultural education refers to a set of teaching and learning activities that are carried out in order to train skilled manpower for agricultural occupations in vocational schools, training centers and agricultural colleges and lead to obtaining a degree.

Agricultural secondary education:

In the agricultural secondary education system, two educational branches are considered:

1- Vocational technical secondary branch

This branch of education has been developed in the new education system of the country. The general purpose of this branch is to raise the level of general knowledge culture and to better understand the talents and interests of students and to create a suitable environment to lead them to useful employment or to prepare them for further education in professional technical and scientific-applied fields.

2- Secondary branch of knowledge work (skills training):

Another branch was developed in the new education system and its overall purpose is to train manpower at semi-skilled levels and mastery and supervision for the agricultural, industrial and service sectors.

Assessment and skills courses:

Adult skill assessment courses in the field of continuing education in agricultural disciplines, which include specialized courses in the field of knowledge approved by the Ministry of Education and within the framework of the secondary education system, and are a set of skills disciplines that volunteer after passing one or more skills, succeeds in receiving an official diploma from the education system.

Missions:

In line with the missions and tasks of the Agricultural Education and Extension Institute and in order to develop and empower the knowledge and skills of human resources in the agricultural sector and the development and promotion of job skills of future farmers, strategic planning of agricultural training includes knowledge training, technical profession evaluation of skills, needs assessment of human resources and education in the agricultural sector, cultural affairs and extracurricular programs for agricultural students, is one of the missions of this  deputy.

Targets:

1- Policy-making, leadership, planning, guidance, supervision of formal agricultural training to train the future human resources of the agricultural sector.

2- Development of educational opportunities and identification and promotion of technical and professional capabilities of agricultural high school students and adult volunteers in skill assessment courses.

3- Promotion and transfer of technology and coordination between skills and work knowledge in learners of secondary and higher agricultural education.

4- Helping to improve the human resources pyramid of the agricultural sector in order to meet the development needs of the agricultural sector with real needs assessment in the fields of secondary and higher education.

5- Improving the productivity of resources and factors of agricultural production by designing and compiling educational programs for the agricultural sector.

6- Development of work culture, professional ethics and entrepreneurship in high school students.

7- Development of cultural and extracurricular programs to strengthen values ​​and attitudes in agricultural activities for agricultural students.

Duties:

1- Educational assessment, based on land management, planning, organizing and directing secondary and higher education in the agricultural sector in line with the policies of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture.

2- Development of agricultural vocational schools affiliated to the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture based on the policies and programs of the respective ministry.

3- Admission of students in vocational schools affiliated to the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture based on the plan of future farmers.

4- Providing the necessary facilities for newly graduate students from agricultural universities of the country, to achieve practical experiences.

5- Planning, leading, guiding and supervising the implementation of secondary education courses in the field of knowledge, technical and professional work and measuring the skills of adults.

6- Planning, leading and directing the internship plan for agricultural students in associate and bachelor degrees of the country's universities.

7- Formulation and implementation of study and research plans in the field of future farmers of the country

8- Planning for the promotion of members of scientific boards in institute and related teaching centers.

9- Designing and implementing the plan of the future farmers of the country with the cooperation of relevant organizational units.
